About Us

The Foundry Pub & Grill opened in 1999 as part of the redevelopment of the Westfield Carousel Shopping Centre. It replaced the Carousel Tavern which had been demolished a number of years earlier. The Foundry forms part of the lifestyle and entertainment precinct of the shopping centre integrating cinema, dining, entertaining and retailing to provide you with an inviting, comfortable and safe destination for a wide range of leisure activities.

Design and Atmosphere

The design creates a sense of history based on the contemporary portrayal of an old Australian Steelworks. It is reminiscent of a 1950's factory with a two storey glass and red brick facade.

The interior has a warm welcoming ambience with wooden floors, exposed trusses and ductwork and a feature island bar. The period industrial components are tastefully balanced with fixtures and fittings consistent with the theme.

The Foundry caters for a wide range of clients. We have become established as a reputable cafe / restaurant, serving traditional pub staples, and a destination site for lunch or dinner.

The Foundry offers tranquil respite for shoppers to enjoy lunch or coffee and cake with full friendly service. With several soft furnishings and a well stocked magazine stand, the avid shopper can lounge in comfort.

But later at night the mood can change! Live entertainment is an integral part of the success of The Foundry and the venue provides a safe and comfortable atmosphere to have a break and enjoy some of Perth's most popular acts and friendly hospitality.
